Apple has released public beta versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, introducing Apple Intelligence features. Owners of iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro, and devices with M1 chips or newer now have access to text rewriting tools, a new Siri design, the Clean Up AI function for removing objects from photos, and other features.
Accessing the Beta Versions
To access the beta versions, users need to register on the official Apple beta testing program website. Once verified, the update becomes available in the device’s system settings. However, it’s important to note that the Apple Intelligence functionality is only available on specific models, including iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16, and iPhone 16 Pro. iPad and Mac owners with M1 chips or newer can also try out the latest “Apple” AI features.
Future Updates and Availability
Previously, Apple Intelligence features were available only in developer beta versions, reminds NIX Solutions. The current public beta does not include all the announced Apple Intelligence capabilities, as Apple plans to gradually introduce more features in future updates. The final versions of these operating systems are expected to be released in October 2024. We’ll keep you updated as more details emerge.
