NIXSolutions: AI Selects Computers that Can Upgrade to Windows 11

Microsoft is expanding the list of computer models compatible with the Windows 11 operating system. To revise the requirements for PCs that support the update, the softmaker uses its latest machine learning model.

“The availability of Windows 11 has been increased and we are using our latest generation machine learning model to offer the update to an expanded set of eligible devices. We will continue to train our machine learning model throughout the phased rollout to ensure smooth upgrades,” says Microsoft.

In the process of determining the compatibility of computers with the new operating system, AI takes into account the many combinations of components and peripherals on PCs with Windows 11. Also, errors that were previously encountered on this equipment are not overlooked. The PC Health Check application can be used to check Windows 11 PC compliance for a specific computer, says 4PDA.

Thus, the update can be distributed even to those computers with Windows 10, the owners of which did not expect support for the update, notes NIXSolutions. According to Microsoft, the full list of devices supported by Windows 11 will be determined by mid-2022: many users, who have not received a notification about the possibility of installation, should wait a bit.

However, the company does not recommend forcing the installation of Windows 11 on unsupported PCs.
